Good morning–

Sorry to be so late posting, but I was gone yesterday.  My dh and I went for a long drive in the Cascade Mountains.  We’ve had such a cold, gray, rainy spring that we felt the need to enjoy the bright sunshine.  Of course I forgot to bring the camera, so I don’t have any pictures of how beautiful the mountains and the rivers were.  Instead, I’m sharing a picture of wildflowers my dh took over on Whidbey Island last week.  Not sure what they are, but they’re pretty.  <g>   Whidbey is part of the San Juan Islands which are just off the coast. Whidbey is the second only to Long Island in NY for length.  Anyway, I hope everyone’s week is off to a great start.

Alexis

Everyone, please welcome Reggie!

Reggie has graciously agreed to do an interview for us today.  She’ll answer my questions, and then she’ll check in periodically for the next day or so to answer any additional questions you all might have.

1. So Reggie, are you and DJ keeping both sets of your computer toys or weeding out the duplicates?
DJ gave a bunch of his to Larem’s dog, Chance, so they’re already toast.  However, we both agree you can never have too many toys.

2. What’s it like to be surrounded by all those Paladins and Kalith warriors all the time?
It makes me feel even shorter than I am. I understand they’re all tough guys, but do they all have to come in the giant economy size??  It’s enough to give a girl a stiff neck having to look up all the time.

3. Have you met all the other ladies who hang out with the guys these days?
Yes, and they’re all great.  We figure if we don’t band together, these guys will try to run roughshod over all of us.  That’s so not happening.  We’ve decided to schedule a ladies’ night out every  month.

4. Where’s DJ today?  Did Devlin find something to keep him busy while you visit with us?
Actually, DJ and Larem took off to go help Hunter with something.  They’ll be back tomorrow night. Of course, DJ has been texting me every half hour since they left.  You know, just to check on me.  He’s even asked Lonzo and Cullen to check in on me.  What a worry wart! But after everything the two of us went through, I think it’s going to take awhile before either of us relax.

5. Where are you going to live?  Will DJ’s bachelor pad do for a while or are you looking for another place?
DJ’s place is okay for now–or will be when I finish clearing out his lifetime supply of old pizza boxes.  We plan to look for a house soon, though. Most of my  stuff is in storage right now, but that’s okay.  My double bed wouldn’t be as comfortable has his king-size.  It probably won’t come as a surprise to anyone that he likes to hog the covers.

6. How is Cody settling in?
Great. Devlin arranged for Cody to transfer up here to Seattle, so he’ll be close by while he finishes school and starts training.   Cullen is helping him out with the computer stuff and Trahern is going to take charge of  his training.  It’s all good.

Well, that’s it for now.  Reggie has things she needs to be doing, but she’ll be back later.  She’s also going to give away one autographed copy of their story to someone who asks a question this week.

Everyone, meet Kara Michelle!

Please join me and DJ in welcoming Kara to our little world!  Most of you have ‘met’ Kara’s mom, Carrie, through her comments here.  She wanted to share her new arrival with all of us.

Fang boys rule!

Hi, ladies!

My name is Eagan, and my story is called All I Want for Christmas.  It’s part of an  HQN anthology coming out this October  called A Vampire for Christmas.  The other three stories are by Michele Hauf, Laurie London, and Caridad Pineiro. I know the Paladins don’t much like it when a fang boy takes over the blog, but Alexis said it was all right since she just got my cover.  Enjoy!  More about me as time goes on–

Eagan  McHale

She’s at it again . . .

Lonzo here–

So I expecteed Alexis to check in with me, you know, just to see how things are going for us.  But, no, she spent her weekend with her attention focused on someone else. Actually several someone elses.  She spent way too many hours watching the Seattle Mariners on television.  I know the woman loves her team, but talk about overkill.  They won Friday and Sunday, but lost the Saturday game. Rather than watch every minute, couldn’t she have hung out with us instead?

When she wasn’t watching baseball, she was reading about shapeshifters in an Ilona Andrews novella in an anthology called Hexed. When she finished that, she started reading about a  hellhound in Sharon Ashwood’s latest paranormal release Frostbound.  Seems Alexis has a thing for hellhounds.  Who knew?

She also finally got around to seeing True Grit, although I’ve been telling her for ages that she’d love it. She wrote all those westerns, you know, so I figured she’d like the movie. Turns out she’s a huge fan of Jeff Bridges, and she thought he was terrific in the role of Rooster Cogburn.

And if that wasn’t enough, she spent hours and HOURS pouring over the galleys for her novella, All I Want For Christmas, that will be out in October. It’s part of an anthology from HQN  called A Vampire for Christmas.  Yes, she was hanging out with a fang boy rather than us.  His name is Eagan. I can see why DJ is always complaining about fang boys.  Sheesh.

I personally had a quiet weekend.  I met up with Larem for lunch.  It was fun hanging with my roomie even though he isn’t really my roomie anymore.  Can’t blame the guy for preferring to live with Sasha than me. Rumor has it that she doesn’t leave empty pizza boxes and dirty socks laying all over the place.  I’m sure that’s why he likes her better.  <snort>

Hope your week is off to a great start.

Lonzo

I guess I’m in charge this week . . .

Okay, as most of  you know, DJ is otherwise occupied right now.  I have no idea where Jake is, so that leaves me to post this week.  Hope all of you are doing well–it’s been awhile since I’ve been here, so I’ll introduce myself again.

I am Lonzo Jones, friend of DJ’s, roommate of Larem q’Jones.  Or at least I used to be his roommate. Not only do I have my  place back to myself, I don’t have keep the fridge stocked with so much rabbit food.  Seriously, who buys chard?  Other than it’s green, I couldn’t begin to tell you what the stuff is good for. Maybe for compost, if I was the kind of guy who composts. Which I’m not.

Things were quiet this weekend.  We had the first real summer weather here in the Seattle area.  Sunshine, warm weather, gorgeoous. Alexis drove down to Portland and back.  She  RAVED about how beautiful all the mountains were, but especially the volcanoes.  She said all five that she could see on her way back were breath-takingly beautiful:  Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainer, and Mt. Baker.  All huge snow cones shining bright in the sun.

Hunter wanted me to remind everyone that the next installment in his short story series posted last week.

Anyone else besides me and Alexis looking forward to when they release the movie “Cowboys and Aliens”?  Seriously, Alexis promised she’d take me to see it when it comes out.

Well, that’s all my news.

Lonzo

DJ has picked the winners . . .

DJ and I both want to thank everybody for helping the dear boy get through these anxious weeks leading up to the release of The Darkness Beyond.  He pulled three names out of the hat today from all of the people who have dropped by to visit over the past couple of weeks.  And [drumroll, please] the winners are:

1. Sue V
2. Rhonda
3. Strohs

Congratulations, ladies!  DJ would give each of you a personal hug, but he’s . . . uh . . . occupied these days.

If you’ll e-mail me your snail mail addresses to alexismorgan @ alexismorgan.com, I’ll send out your book thongs.  Actually two will be coming directly from the brilliant and talented Mandy at www.Stupidshinydesigns.esty.com.  A special thanks to her for the great designs.
